Who are we?
The Band
Wayfaring Strangers is a Gospel Roots band from Southwest PA. Our repertoire includes songs of faith with elements from many different musical styles including gospel, blues, bluegrass, and rockabilly. We are passionate about sharing our faith and our love of music to encourage, uplift, and entertain others!

Scott Ainsley
DrumsThe heartbeat of the band, Scott has been playing drums for over 35 years. When he’s not playing with Wayfaring Strangers you might spot him playing in his church Praise Band or in several other bands around the area.
Chris Kinter
Guitar, VocalsChris provides soulful vocals and strong rhythm and lead guitar work on both electric and acoustic guitar. He is in his element when he’s hammering out searing blues leads on his Les Paul.
Rob Lepre
Bass, VocalsAs both a bass vocalist and bass guitarist, Rob provides all things low-end for the band. Well-versed in a variety of styles, Rob’s vocal and instrumental work is perfectly suited for everything from rockabilly to country and everything in-between.
Phil Russell
Keys, Guitar, VocalsPhil provides vocals as well as keys and guitar for the band. While versed in many different styles of music, he especially enjoys introducing Americana flavors into the band. When he isn’t playing with Wayfaring Strangers you might spot him playing in his church Praise Band or playing the banjo in a local bluegrass band.
